League of Legends developers have had to reschedule the return of Nexus Blitz after fumbling the date for the original announcement.

Out of all of the limited-time modes in League of Legends, only one of them has had fans yearning for more. The arcadey Nexus Blitz graced League of Legends back in 2018, featuring a new map, items, and minigames in an all-out brawl for victory. The game mode was originally intended to be a permanent feature for League of Legends but was unfortunately shelved to the sidelines.

Fortunately, Riot has announced that Nexus Blitz is returning with the Worlds 2023 event. Scheduled to drop on October 24 at 2 PM Central Time, players were hyped to jump back into the mode and ravel in the fun.

But players had a rather rude awakening today thanks to a clarification Riot had made to their previous announcement tweet. Now instead of releasing on October 24, the mode would drop same time on October 25.

LoL devs frustrate players with Nexus Blitz reschedule

“Ok when we said ‘Oct 24 at 2PM CT’ we MEANT to say ‘Oct 25 at 2PM PT.’ hold your hype a little longer and we’ll see you tomorrow”, the post sheepishly clarified.

Expectedly, players were not too keen to have to wait even longer for the return of the mode, especially those who have been waiting several years to make its reappearance.

“I MADE PLANS ALREADY!!!” one user exclaimed.

“Don’t zany emoji me I was counting down the minutes” another cried.

Others slammed the LoL developers for updating the community at such a late notice, particularly since Twitter was not the only social media platform with the wrong information.

Unfortunately, it looks like excited LoL players will have to hold their horses for one more day before Nexus Blitz is returned in all of its glory.
