New York Knicks' Jalen Brunson injured against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The New York Knicks suffered another devastating blow as All-Star Jalen Brunson went down with a knee injury on Sunday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Knicks fans wailed on social media as Brunson had to be taken back to the locker room with what the team fears is a serious knee injury.

They voted the Villanova product to his first NBA All-Star Game this year. Reason being, Brunson has put the Knicks on his back as their emergent franchise player, leading them to the No. 4 seed out East.

Knicks faithful now have Brunson’s ailment to dread alongside fellow All-Star Julius Randle being out with a dislocated shoulder and OG Anunoby with an elbow infirmity. How did Brunson wind up going down in the first place?

The 27-year-old point guard drove middle and rose up for a 17-foot jumper. He came down in pain without making contact with his defender. All of this transpired less than a minute into the game, as Bet US NBA shared on X:

Brunson remained down on the floor as play continued. He was taken back to the locker room for evaluation.

He wasn’t the only one down, though. Knicks fans let their blues be known on X following the major injury:

Brunson’s injury could not have come at a worse time. The Knicks are 2-7 in their last nine games. They now have four starters on the pine.

The Playoffs are less than two months away and all the work they put in during the month of January seems farther away as the days go by.

Knicks fans were the center of attention in the NBA after their trade for Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks seemingly solidified them as championship contenders.

Now, Knicks fans are left with a hard pull to swallow whether they win or lose tonight.
