Some fake versions of Palworld are circulating on iOS and Android app stores, and devs have issued a warning to stay away from these apps.

Since its release, Palworld has gained such rapid popularity to become the second most-played game on Steam of all time in concurrent players. A combination of survival elements and similarities with Pokemon fueled this huge success overnight.

Amid drama brewing among Pokemon fans, some fake apps have started to appear on Android and iOS app stores.

Devs confirm “There is no Palworld application for phones”

After confusion among the community, Palworld devs posted a warning on X/Twitter, saying, “Apps using names and product images such as “Palworld” are appearing on the AppStore and Google Play, but they are not affiliated with our company in any way.”

“We have reported this issue to Apple, which operates the App Store, and Google, which operates Google Play” they continued.

The devs have urged players not to be pulled in by these apps and should avoid downloading them. “Please be aware that downloading these apps may lead to the leakage of personal information stored on your smartphone or to fraud.”

At the time of writing, Palworld is officially only available in early access on PC (via Steam and Xbox Game Pass) and Xbox consoles.
