Pokemon Go player devastated after “rare” ShNundo catch
The Pokemon CompanyOne Pokemon Go player has been left “disappointed” and slightly baffled after managing to catch the opposite of a Shundo Porygon.
While Pokemon Go is certainly about catching ’em all and filling your Pokedex, there’s always the excitement of managing to grab a Shiny, or as many refer to the Pokemon with full stats, a Hundo. Both are increasingly challenging to find, with many relying on community days to land themselves a powerful Pocket Monster.
However, with the chances of Hundo’s being rare, the chance of a Nundo, a Pokemon with no stats, is just as unseen. So, combine that with a Shiny ‘mon and you have a pretty rare yet extremely disappointing ShNundo, just like this player.
Pokemon Go players baffled after catching “rare” ShNundo
Sharing their unfortunate yet impressive catch on the Pokemon Go Reddit, one user attached an image of their ShNundo Porygon, asking the community: “What do you call a shiny zero IV? I’ve heard of the shundo, but never caught one and was a little disappointed I got this today”
While the player seemed to be disappointed, others took to the comments to express their jealousy, with one highlighting how it’s called “A ShNundo, and I think they are sometimes more rare than actual shundos. Cool catch.”
Others echoed the statement, with one stating how this catch was “1/102,400, don’t know why you feel disappointed.” While that’s not been confirmed, it’s clear many are regarding this as a pretty impressive catch.
One player helpfully explained why this ShNundo is so rare: “For all of you who are confused, the reason nundos are rarer than hundos is because you can only get nundos from wild spawns that are not weather boosted,” meaning you can only get this Pokemon through one avenue, rather than in your general gameplay.
Regardless of whether the player was disappointed, the comments and community support will likely have cheered the player up greatly. Who knew the poster had such a rare yet useless Pokemon on their hands?
