One Pokemon Go trainer found a strange glitch during a Team Rocket Grunt battle, as the individual’s Mewtwo was using moves from the opponent’s Pokemon instead of its own.

Over the past few months, Pokemon Go trainers have found a series of glitches with Team Rocket Grunt battles. For example, one trainer became surrounded by them in a literal double team, while another found a Grunt with a Pokemon that had an impossible moveset.

Recently, another moveset glitch was found during a Grunt battle, but it didn’t involve the Team Rocket members.

Instead, a Pokemon Go trainer was the receiver of this bizarre glitch.

Mewtwo has moves swapped in Pokemon Go Grunt battle

On the Silph Road subreddit, a user by the name of FlexibleFelix posted a pair of screenshots that showcased a glitch during Grunt battles in Pokemon Go. It occurred while they tried to complete a Go Battle Day research task.

In the image, the individual points out that Shadow Mewtwo used Triple Axel against a Hitmontop, even though the Mewtwo didn’t know the move. The original poster also claimed that Mewtwo even had the Triple Axel animation go off.

The user added that this wasn’t the only instance this Pokemon Go glitch occurred. The trainer’s Fusion Flare Reshiram reportedly threw a Sludge Bomb at a Shadow Gloom and a Sacred Sword Terrakion threw a Rock Tomb at a shadow Alolan Sandshrew.

Fellow Pokemon Go players poked fun at the glitch in the comments. One stated, “I’m sorry but this is hilarious. I just imagined Mewtwo doing a triple axel like a figure skater.”

Another added, “Half [M]ewtwo, half [D]itto.”

However, others also took the opportunity to gripe about other Pokemon Go glitches. One trainer stated, “At least you got a fun bug OP I just keep getting lag and raid crashes.”
