A Pokemon Go fan has revealed a dangerous Route created by another player, which they considered taking to acquire Zygarde Cells.

Pokemon Go players who want to power up a Zygarde and help it achieve its final form must gather Zygarde Cells. This can be a time-consuming task, as the player must engage with the polarizing Routes mechanic.

In the mainline Pokemon games, Routes are the areas between towns filled with wild Pokemon and enemy trainers. The Routes in Pokemon Go are different, as they’re created by players who map out roads in the game world. Those who complete a Route can meet Mateo, who might give out Zygarde Cells.

The only problem is that Routes might not be safe, either because they go through rough areas or they might go into areas where adults are not allowed, like schools.

Pokemon Go Route goes into dangerous territory

A user on the Pokemon Go Reddit shared an image of a Route they were following, which went through a flooded path. They asked other users if it was worth entering the water in the hunt for Zygarde Cells, and fans gave their predictable responses.

“Just use Surf,” one fan wrote, while another responded, “Not enough Gym Badges.”

“We’re Pokemon GO players….of course we trespass and walk through mud for 0 Zygarde Cells at the end of the route,” one user said, while another lamented, “The Zygarde cells probably won’t even spawn, so no lol.”

“There are plenty of Zygarde cells in that water actually,” one user joked, “Alongside plenty of other microbial entries to your dex, you might even find that mythical brain eater amoeba!!”

In the end, the OP chose not to follow the path. “Didnt bring my waders so i did not do it. funnily enough this river walk has two routes, one going left and one going right, and after I ended this route I started the other to find out it was closed off for flooding too. so no cells for me today.”

Pokemon Go players are frustrated with how annoying it is to get Zygarde Cells, but those days may end next year. The upcoming mainline Pokemon game is Pokemon Legends Z-A, which will likely feature Zygarde, meaning it will get more appearances in Pokemon Go, and fans won’t have to risk swimming in filthy water for more of its cells.
