Pokemon Go players astounded after time travelling with strange glitch
NianticThe Pokemon Go community was astounded after witnessing a player time travel thanks to a strange medal glitch.
The augmented reality game Pokemon Go has continued to stay strong with a dedicated ever since its release back in 2016. With a monumental launch, it was the game everyone had, becoming an almost global phenomenon.
Since that time, the game has slowly chugged on with the developers Niantic adding in new Pokemon, content, events, and more. Dedicated fans have remained loyal to the title, continuing to catch, train, and battle with the Pokemon they obtain while out and about.
Some players have been so keen to play Pokemon Go, that they’ve managed to somehow time travel to the future, just to get more game time in.
One Pokemon Go player has astounded the community by showcasing an achievement they got on February 17th, 2024. Of course, it wasn’t the achievement itself that was impressive, but rather the date at which it was achieved.
If you haven’t realized yet, the achievement was titled as much farther into the future, as if the player had transcended time and space to journey where none have gone before. Players were taken aback by the screenshot, pointing at timezones as the culprit.
“Jeez when they said Australia was ahead of us I didn’t realize they were days ahead,” one player pointed out.
“Did u check out who wins the Super Bowl at least so I can place some bets… or maybe check the stock market,” another joked.
Fortunately, one knowledgeable user came in with an explanation, stating that the medal was part of an entry to an event that was happening the next week.
