Pokemon Go players are slamming the “ridiculous” Legendary Latias Raid catch rates after witnessing it run away countless times.

Whether you’re looking to Catch ’em all or build a fantastically powerful team for your battles in Pokemon Go, Raids are imperative. After all, they’re one of the key elements of the game and feel just as important as Team Rocket battles, Research Tasks, and Routes.

However, many fans are finding Raids to be increasingly challenging, with certain Raid catch rates becoming extremely high. In fact, thanks to these higher catch rates and therefore regular misses, fans are wondering, “Why even try to Raid?”

Pokemon Go players have had enough of Raid catch rates

Sharing their frustration on Reddit, one Pokemon Go player posted their in-game journal, which highlighted three lost Latias’ within 20 minutes of each other.

Naturally, that means the player won three separate 6-star Raids and then watched as their Latias ran away every single time, so the frustration is entirely warranted.

Along with offering their condolences, many fans took to the comments to echo the poster’s irritation.

“That was my experience when Raid first started” explained one user, going on to say that “the effort to reward ratio was so bad that I basically quit the game then and there.”

Others found the catch rates to be extremely frustrating: “Yeah for a T6 it’s pretty ridiculous to have these catch rates. It takes so much effort to get enough people together only for it to be worse than a coin flip on if you get it!? Ridiculous”

Catch rates are intentionally hard, making tougher Raids all the more rewarding – but there’s a limit to how tough it should be, especially after gathering enough players for a T6 Raid, and then beating the Pokemon in the first place.

While the poster got pretty unlucky, one commenter revealed the bad luck they experienced, highlighting how they’ve “had 7 God damn Latios run away now.”
