The Amazing Race Season 36 was announced to hit our screens on March 13, 2024, with 12 very diverse teams. Here is what you need to know about who’s in the cast.

The CBS multiple Emmy Awards-winning reality survival show, The Amazing Race, centers on diverse teams that go on a race around the globe for a prize of $1 million.

The show has had an amazing run for over two decades and in Season 36 the contestants start off their journey in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. They travel across locations including Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Barbados, and the Dominican Republic.

Phil Keoghan was announced to host Amazing Race Season 36 and guide the adventures of the 13 teams.

Who is on The Amazing Race Season 36?

The Amazing Race Season 36 and the casting itself occurred in June 2022. Here are the pairs who were cast for this season:

Danny Butler and Angie Butler are a mother-and-son duo from San Diego. Danny is a 27- year-old university resident director while Angie is a 55-year-old seventh-grade teacher.

Derek Williams and Shelisa Williams are a couple involved in civil justice from Alta Loma. Derek is a retired chief of police while Shelisa is a retired sheriff’s lieutenant.

Rod Gardner, a former NFL player, and his wife Leticia Garner, a fitness business owner.

Michelle Clark and Sean Clark are another couple from Georgia who are owners of Double Dutch Aerobics.

Yvonne Chavez and Melissa Main are a couple from San Diego, California. Yvonne works as a global strategy and operations lead while Melissa is an investigator for U.S. Navy special operations.

Sunny Pulver, 41, and Bizzy Smith, 37, are Firefighters and best friends from Wisconsin.

Amber Craven and Vinny Cagungun are a couple joining The Amazing Race from Colorado. The two work as anesthetists.

Ricky Rotandi is a 34-year-old preschool teacher, and Cesar Aldrete is a 34-year-old food stylist. The couple is joining from New York.

Juan Villa and Shane Bilek are both Air Force pilots and best friends.

Anthony Smith and Bailey Smith are both 26 and twins joining the race from Clearwater, Florida.

Kishori Turner and Karishma Cordero are Cousins from Texas.

Maya Mody and Rohan Mody are another pair of siblings joining the adventure from New Jersey.

Chris Foster and Mary Cardona-Foster are a father-and-daughter duo from Waltham, Massachusetts.
