Unlike other reality shows like Love is Blind or The Real Housewives, The Traitors doesn’t offer weekly monetary pay to its contestants for appearances. The grand prize promised at the end of the game is the only monetary payment fixed for the contestants.

In this season of The Traitors UK, traitor Harry walked away with the full grand prize of £95,150 while his fellow cast mates went home empty-handed.

However, it was revealed that even though the cast might not get an appearance fee, they are given a daily allowance. The allowance compensates the reality stars’ time and energy spent filming the show.

Aaron Evans, winner of The Traitors UK Season 1 revealed in a YouTube Q&A: “They don’t technically pay you, they subsidize what you would have got for work with the show, it’s roughly like £100 a day. It’s not that much… but it’s definitely worth it.”

Season 2 of The Traitors US was made available to stream on 12 January 2024 on Peacock.
