Love Is Blind's Chelsea in therapy after backlash

Love Is Blind Season 6 star Chelsea Blackwell has revealed that she’s in therapy, amid the heavy backlash she faced after appearing on the show.

Chelsea Blackwell quickly rose to fame when she appeared on the sixth season of Love Is Blind. She formed connections with two different men in the pods, but ultimately ended up with Jimmy Presnell after accepting his proposal. However, things have not been going so well for the couple.

The pair had constant arguments on the show, including a big fight when Chelsea confronted Jimmy about his lack of affection and he called her “clingy.” Additionally, she received criticism when she claimed to look like Megan Fox, with viewers accusing her of catfishing her fiancé.

Amid the backlash, fans raised concerns about the star’s mental health and wellbeing. The 31-year-old has now taken to social media to reveal that she’s doing well and has been seeing a therapist.

“I’ve never seen a therapist before but man oh man, I feel everyone could benefit from having an unbiased opinion. I never thought I ‘needed’ therapy but I had a ton of inner issues I needed to debunk and my life, my mindset, my heart has completely changed.”

As for how she feels after going through a therapy experience, Chelsea added, “I thought I loved myself before but I have never felt THIS kind of love.”

The reality star also answered a fan who asked her if she thought the show portrayed her accurately. She said she had reasons for feeling certain emotions and doesn’t feel like that was shown. “Was I emotional and insecure? Absolutely. But my feelings were valid and I wish that was included more.”

The next batch of Love Is Blind episodes is set to release on February 28.
