Cashier hides behind register as 3 men refuse to leave store during solo shift

A retail worker has gone viral on TikTok after sharing her scary experience of being alone at work while 3 men wouldn’t leave the store.

In a viral clip with over 13.7 million views, content creator Makayla (green.eyed.blondiee) filmed herself sitting behind the counter at her retail job, looking around anxiously.

“Guess who is hiding at work?” she began. “Because three men came in, and they were sitting on the chairs right in front of my registers, and just silently staring at me.”

Makayla said they then asked if she was working alone, to which she lied and claimed she had colleagues in the back. Despite her response, the group stayed for over 15 minutes before asking about the store’s closing hours. When they finally left, she quickly locked the door.

However, the three men allegedly tried to enter the store again just moments later. “Woop woop security walked me to my car and they followed from a distance and watched me drive away so they know what my car looks like,” the TikToker added in the caption.

TikTok users took to the comments to share their thoughts on the incident. “That’s terrifying, I don’t know what I’d do wow. I’m happy you’re okay,” one person wrote.

“When I worked retail, we always had 3 ppl closing. and this was for 3 different companies I worked for. you should never be alone at work,” another added.

“I would call the police if you are still there. but I’m assuming you’re safe at home. also tell your boss cause they may come back,” a third said, to which Makayla replied that her manager let her close the store early, and was “super understanding about it.”

In a follow-up clip, Makayla explained that she filmed the video after she’d already called security. But even with security accompanying her, the men still tried to follow her to her car. She believes this confirms at least some of her suspicions about their behavior.

The TikToker also mentioned that in future, she will have a friend join her at work so that she would not be working alone again.
