woman reveals job asked her to share bed with coworker

A couple of women were left absolutely disgusted when they were asked to share a bed with their coworkers while on work trips.

Business trips can be rather stressful experiences as is, but a couple of companies made their employees even more uncomfortable by requesting they sleep with their coworkers when they ran out of beds.

TikToker ‘co.letter’ first went viral after claiming that her company asked her to share a bed with a coworker on an upcoming business trip to Paris, France.

According to the woman, she received an email from her job explaining that she had the “option to share a room with a colleague” because at the time, there was only one bed in the room booked.

“I didn’t even know this was possible in a corporate setting,” she said. Well, as it turns out, she’s not the only one to be in this awkward position as another woman revealed her job did the same.

Following co.letter’s viral video, which has since been privatized, user ‘Barrett Adair’ explained that her former employer put her in the same situation.

“They lost their goddamn minds that day,” she said. “In the email where they’re announcing the work trip that no one wants to go on because it’s a work trip, they’re like, ‘by the way, we just don’t have enough beds for people.’”

According to Aldair, one girl ended up volunteering to share her bed with somebody else and even named the person despite not knowing if they would have been interested in being in bed with her.

“Don’t let anyone ever convince you this is normal,” she added. “It is unethical for your work to ever share your room with somebody. But a bed is crazy.”

Aldair wouldn’t reveal the name of the company, because she said she likes the people there, but that didn’t stop users in the comments from calling the situation a “HR nightmare” and noted how they would never volunteer to share a bed with people they worked with.

This isn’t the first bizarre bed-sharing story to go viral. Last year, a woman in Toronto felt the wrath of the internet when her $900 rental listing required a tenant to sleep in the same bed as her.
