So book fans were overjoyed when it was announced that the BBC will be producing the upcoming adaptation of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, which is based on the best-selling book trilogy by Holly Jackson.

This was quite a recent announcement and there’s a lot of information to get through, so here’s your guide to everything about A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder including its release date, cast, and more.

At this time, there is no official premiere date for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.

However, the show has finished filming as of August 2023 and some first-look pictures of the cast were just released, so a premiere date should be announced soon.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder cast: Who’s in it?

The cast for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is a mix of up-and-coming young adult actors and one very popular Gen Z actress. Check out the full list below:

Myers is best known for her role as Enid Sinclair in the Netflix hit series Wednesday, but she can be seen in other popular projects such as Family Switch and Girl in the Basement.

When speaking with Variety, executive Matthew Read and Frith Tiplady explained that they didn’t intend to hire an American actor for the series, but Myers “just did an incredible reading for us.”

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder plot: What’s it about?

Season 1 of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder will follow the first book of the series, so there won’t be any big spoilers here.

The synopsis for Jackson’s first novel reads: “The case is closed. Five years ago, schoolgirl Andie Bell was murdered by Sal Singh. The police know he did it. Everyone in town knows he did it.

But, having grown up in the same small town that was consumed by the murder, Pippa Fitz-Amobi isn’t so sure. When she chooses the case as the topic for her final year project, she starts to uncover secrets that someone in town desperately wants to stay hidden. And if the real killer is still out there, how far will they go to keep Pip from the truth?”

Tiplady and Read have confirmed that, if Season 1 does well, future seasons will follow Jackson’s follow-up novels Good Girl, Bad Blood, and As Good as Dead.

We’ll be sure to update this page when more information about A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 1 is announced.
