Charlie and Lucifer in Hazbin Hotel Episode 5

Hazbin Hotel, the most audacious and humorous animated series on streaming platforms, is well into its inaugural season. Here’s the precise information on when you can catch Episode 5 on Prime Video.

It’s been an extraordinary journey for the show. Created by Vivienne “VivziePop” Medrano, its pilot was originally released on YouTube in 2020, the result of two years of creative labor to nail its “demonic aesthetic” and humor. Fortunately, people loved it.

Encouraged by tens of millions of views and a dedicated fanbase despite little content, A24 ordered a full series a year later. This week, after a long development and Medrano promising “the indie spirit of the pilot lives on”, the first episodes of its inaugural fully-fledged season have finally dropped.

If you’ve checked into Hazbin Hotel this week for sweary, bloody mischief and sing-alongs, you may be wondering when Episode 5 will be released – here’s what you need to know.

Hazbin Hotel Episode 5 release date

Hazbin Hotel will drop on Prime Video on January 25.

That’s not all: Episode 6 will be available to stream on the same date, leaving just the final two episodes for the week after on February 1. The episodes release at 8pm EDT/5pm PDT.

The reception to the first four episodes (and the excitement for the fifth) speaks for itself. “The first four episodes of Hazbin Hotel were amazing!!! Just simply Amazing!!! Can’t wait til Episode 5 comes out,” one user wrote. “Show was pretty good so far ngl, can’t wait for Episode 5 and 6 next week,” another tweeted.

“Watched the first four episodes of Hazbin Hotel with my Girlfriend. This show is awesome! It’s fun and emotional and sweet. And we had a blast watching it. Miss me with that hate and Criticism. We enjoyed watching it. Can’t wait for more,” a third wrote.

If you’re unfamiliar with the series, it “follows Charlie, the princess of Hell, as she pursues her seemingly impossible goal of rehabilitating demons to peacefully reduce overpopulation in her kingdom,” as per the synopsis.

“After a yearly extermination imposed by angels, she opens a hotel in the hopes that patrons will be ‘checking out’ into Heaven. While most of Hell mocks her goal, her devoted partner Vaggie, and their first test subject, adult film star Angel Dust, stick by her side. When a powerful entity known as the ‘Radio Demon’ reaches out to assist Charlie in her endeavors, her crazy dream is given a chance to become reality.”
