Lindsay Lohan is back in an upcoming rom-com for Netflix as Irish Wish has everyone excited to see her dive into an unsuspecting romance.

There’s no denying that Lohan has everyone excited to see her on-screen again in a genre she knows well. She gained fame for more than a few cult classic movies like Freaky Friday, Herbie, Mean Girls, and rom-coms like Just My Luck and her 2022 Christmas movie Falling for Christmas.

This time she’s taking the lead in a Netflix movie titled Irish Wish. A mix of unforeseen romance, a bit of magic, and self-discovery makes this movie a must-watch. Loham stars as Maddie Kelly, a shy book editor who finds herself in her ultimate dream coming true. But is what she really wants?

Irish Wish has everyone excited as the age of rom-coms is making a comeback ever since Anyone But You premiered.

Fans “can’t wait” for Lindsay Lohan’s Irish Wish

Irish Wish follows Lohan’s character as one of her past loves got away because she never confessed. One wish changed everything but also brought someone new into her life.

Netflix released the official trailer for Irish Wish on February 21, 2024, and has fans buzzing with excitement. Maddie Kelly is on a trip to Ireland to watch her best friend get married to Paul Kennedy. He just so happens to be the man she’s in love with but never confessed her feelings to.

In Ireland, she can’t help but wonder what could have been and makes a wish to be the one marrying him instead. She wakes up with that dream coming true. But as the wedding gets closer, she realizes maybe he wasn’t what she wanted. The trailer has an unsuspecting romance ensue between Maddie and the wedding photographer. He seems to understand here true desires more than anyone.

Irish Wish couldn’t come sooner as fans are happy to see the era of rom-coms return. On X/Twitter, one fan commented, “I honestly miss these kinds of films!! Can’t wait to see it!”

Another is excited to see Lohan on screen, commenting, “Ok, I cannot be the only person stoked to see Lohan in a proper movie? So badly want this to be good.”

Some are even suscribing to Netflix for the movie, with one stating, “Getting to subscribe my Netflix, i can’t miss out the show.”

“WE ARE ALL GETTING READY TO WATCH THE INSTANT IT COMES OUT,” agreed another.

The trailer also got fans excited as it used an oldie-but-goodie song from the 2000s. Irish Wish featured Breathless by The Corrs. Playing the role of wedding photographer James Thomas is Downtown Abbey star Ed Speelers, with the movie directed by Falling for Christmas’s Janeen Damian.

Irish Wish is set to release on Netflix on March 15.
