November 2023 K-dramas to look out for

With the spooky season almost over, so are its K-dramas. But have no fear, November 2023 promises a few worthwhile K-dramas to get fans through the holiday season.

The holiday season is far from over, and the same goes for the long list of K-dramas for the rest of the year. While snuggling on the couch, fans have a laundry list of K-dramas to satiate them for a while.

Some of November’s upcoming works include a historical fated love, a demon entering a marriage contract, and a police officer in training taking on crime his own way.

One of the month’s K-drama fans are most excited for includes Vigilante, as actor Nam Joo-hyuk is currently serving in the military. Fans will get their needed dose of the actor while waiting for his return. Here’s a list of November K-dramas and when and where to stream.

Moon in the Day

Star-crossed love can be complicated, with Moon in the Day focusing on a present-day actor and firefighter being the reincarnations of their past selves.

Actor Kim Young-dae stars as Han Jun-oh. The character is a popular actor and celebrity who is handsome and seems to have it all, but he’s actually a bit insecure. He agrees to film a public ad with firefighter, Kang Young-hwa (Pyo Ye-jin). While filming, the two get into an accident and Young-hwa saves the actor’s life.

In return, she is given a job as his bodyguard. Things get a little complicated when Jun-oh wakes up but has been possessed by Do Ha, a noble aristocrat. His story? He’s stuck in time after having been killed by his beloved wife. It just so happens that Young-hwa is a reincarnation of Han Ri-ta, who doesn’t remember her past.

Moon in a Day is set to release on November 1, 2023, and will air every Wednesday and Thursday.

Daily Dose of Sunshine

One of Netflix’s November 2023 K-dramas is Park Bo-young’s Daily Dose of Sunshine, about a nurse working in a neuropsychiatry ward.

Actor Park returns to K-dramas, leading the webtoon Netflix K-drama Daily Dose of Sunshine as Jung Da-eun. Transferred from internal medicine, she has no experience dealing with patients in the neuropsychiatry sector of the hospital. While the staff have grown used to their positions, Da-eun is determined to bring some life to her patient’s lives.

Don’t be fooled, as the K-drama has a dose of romance when Doctor Dong Go-yoon (Yeon Woo-jin) takes notice of her bright demeanor. He realizes he can’t help but smile when she’s around.

Daily Dose of Sunshine is set to release on November 3, 2023, and will have 12 episodes.

Vigilante

Nam Joo-hyuk will grace the small screen while in the military as a student at the police academy who punishes criminals in the darkness of night in Vigilante.

The actor is currently serving his mandatory military service, but fans will get to see him in one of November 2023 K-dramas, Vigilante. Based on a webcomic, Kim Ji-yong has a bad history with crime. His mother was brutally beaten to death by a thug when he was a child. The justice system failed him when the criminal got a short sentence and was set free. An adult, Ji-yong realizes the killer has not changed and beats him up.

After that day, Ji-yong realizes the justice system is lacking. By day, he’s a perfect police officer in training. By night, he prowls the streets punishing criminals. Ji-yong is nicknamed Vigilante when he gets help from a wealthy admirer as a news reporter covers his story… But not everyone sees him as a hero when a detective begins to investigate him.

Vigilante is set to premiere on November 8, 2023, with a short eight-episode run.

Goryeo–Khitan War

For fans who prefer a more historically-driven storyline, Goryeo–Khitan War has a king and Commander-in-Chief unite to take on a war.

This K-drama deals with the second and third periods of the Goryeo-Khitan War, with King Hyeonjong of Goryeo (Kim Dong-jun). He and his Commander-in-Chief, Gang Gam-chan (Choi Soo-jong), face peril as their country and people are in jeopardy. They must unite the people of Goryeo to fight a war against the Khitan.

Goryeo–Khitan War will air on November 11, 2023, and will have a whopping 32 episodes.

A Bloody Lucky Day

It’s a cat-and-mouse chase in A Bloody Lucky Day as a taxi driver’s ill fate has him crossing paths with a killer and the victim’s mother who wants revenge.

A Bloody Lucky Day is one of November 2023’s K-dramas that will be a good watch for crime fans. Oh Taek (Lee Sung-min) is a normal taxi driver who has a dream filled with pigs. That style of dream is believed to bring good luck and fortune. Ready to clock out for the day, Oh Taek takes on one more customer who offers to pay him $1,000 to take him to a nearby seaport town.

But Oh Taek is unaware that his passenger, Geum Hyeok-soo (Yoo Yeon-seok), recently killed a man and plans to leave on a stowaway boat. Meanwhile, his victim’s mother, Hwang Soon-kyu (Lee Jung-eun), goes after Hyeok-soo to get her revenge.

A Bloody Lucky Day will air on November 20, 2023.

My Demon

K-drama fans are gearing up for another tantalizing romance with My Demon as a chaebol heir gets into a marriage contract with a handsome demon.

Jung Koo-won (Song Kang) is a demon who relishes making sweet deals with humans who live torturous lives. He has riddled the streets for 200 years. But when he crosses paths with a woman, he loses all of his powers. Do Do-hee (Kim Yoo-jung) is the chaebol heiress of Future Group who’s cold a cynical. She has broken ideals about love.

The two meet as if by fate and enter a contract marriage in My Demon. The only way to get his powers back and stop his extinction is by staying close to Do-hee. K-drama fans can smell this enemies-to-lovers trope from a mile away, making this one of November 2023’s must-watch K-dramas.

My Demon is set to release on November 24, 2023, and will have 16 episodes.

The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract

A newfound widow is kidnapped and finds herself in present-day Seoul in The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract.

Park Yeon-woo’s (Lee Se-young) wedding night is marked with tragedy when her new husband tells her a shocking truth. He has been secretly dealing with a heart condition and ultimately dies in her arms. Her night gets worse when an unnamed man kidnaps her and dumps her in a well. Yeon-woo suddenly wakes up in present-day Seoul and is rescued from a swimming pool by a man.

The man in question happens to look exactly like her dead husband. Kang Tae-ha (Bae In-hyuk) is kind and has always been open about his past with a heart condition. He’s also the successor of SH Seoul Corporation. When his grandfather falls sick, all he wishes for is to see his grandson get married. Nowhere near ready for marriage, he decides to ask Yeon-woo into a fake marriage contract.

The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract will premiere in November, with no set date yet, and will have 12 episodes.

Once Upon a Boyhood

A Korean web series, Once Upon a Boyhood is about a high school student on the lower side of the social ladder, whose life changes when switching schools.

Set in the mid-to-late 1980s, Jang Byung-tae (Yim Si-wan) is a student at an agricultural high school in Chungcheong Province. Unlike his classmates, he’s small, weak, and not popular. Things take on a drastic change when he transfers to the neighboring Buyeo Agricultural High School.

On his first day, he’s wrongly misunderstood as being a Buyeo Iljjang, or skilled fighter. Byung-tae also crosses paths with the “black spider” of the school, Park Ji-young (Lee Sun-bin), popular kid Kang Sun-Hwa (Kang Hye-won), and skilled fighter Jung Kyeong-tae (Lee Si-woo).

Once Upon a Boyhood will stream on November 24, 2023, and have 10 episodes.
