Dune 2 star Rebecca Ferguson spilled the beans on an eye-opening experience she had on set with a co-star who “screamed” at her – and now Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has spoken out.

Ferguson stars as Lady Jessica in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two. She has been doing press ahead of the movie’s release on March 1, 2024. The actor has had a formidable career starring in three Mission Impossible movies, The Greatest Showman, Doctor Sleep, Hercules, and The Girl on the Train.

The Swedish actor has had her fair share of co-stars – however, while appearing on the Reign With Josh Smith podcast, the actor recounted a bad experience she had on set.

On the set of one unnamed movie, she says she was yelled at and left crying by an “idiot” co-star. With fans speculating who it could be, Johnson has addressed her claims… by supporting her.

Dwayne Johnson “wants to find out” who screamed at Rebecca Ferguson

Johnson replied to Smith’s clip from the interview on Twitter, writing: “Hate seeing this but love seeing her stand up to bullsh*t. Rebecca was my guardian angel sent from heaven on our set. I love that woman. I’d like to find out who did this.”

Ferguson and Johnson worked together on 2014’s Hercules, with her playing the role of Ergenia, the Princess of Thrace, and Johnson starring in the titular role. In the podcast, the actor refused to speak about the movie not because of Johnson, but because of disgraced director Brett Ratner.

“I’ve all of these incredibly high studio intense films I did. Hercules, which we don’t need to talk about because we don’t need to promote directors like that,” she said. Considering that and Johnson coming out to support Ferguson standing up for herself on set, it seems like he isn’t the culprit.

In the jaw-dropping interview, Ferguson explained the co-star was so angered at not getting their lines right that they lashed out at the actor. Despite initially crying, Ferguson stood her ground and responded back to the “idiot” co-star.

She eventually came back and told the co-star, “You get off my set. You can F off. I’m gonna work towards a tennis ball. I never want to see you again.” But due to the co-star being at the top of the list, they couldn’t be taken off set. Instead, Ferguson told them, “The person can turn around and I can act to the back of the head.”

It’s still unclear who Ferguson was talking about in the interview. One fan on X/Twitter speculated, “She says it’s not Cruise or Jackman but within the last decade so the only possible options are Dwayne Johnson, Jake Gyllenhaal, or Michael Fassbender.”
