Apex Legends: Respawn share first sneak peek at rumored Wattson character

Apex Legends developers Respawn Entertainment have given players a sneak peek at what’s likely to be the next Legend added to the game.

Over the past few weeks, Apex Legends players have been in full anticipation for Season 2, which is expected to be considerably better than the first season, which many view as lackluster.

Respawn have already confirmed that every new season will introduce a brand new Legend into the game, with Octane having been the character added at the start of Season 1.

On June 6, Respawn posted an announcement for their appearance at the EA Play event in Los Angeles, which included a short clip that offers a teaser for the brand new Legend.

The announcement tweet included the phrase “It’s sure to be…electrifying,” which has many players convinced that the new character’s abilities will be based around electricity.

Although this is the first official look at the new Legend, details about the character had surfaced months ago, revealing the name to be Wattson.

Back in March, data-miners leaked images of Wattson and her abilities, one of which looks potentially like Tesla Trap, which would fall in line with the whole electricity theme.

Prominent Twitch streamer Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek, who normally gets information about Apex Legends before it becomes public, has discussed the Legend on numerous occasions, saying that he didn’t like playing as Wattson at a testing event, and that the character is “not going to be that sick.”
