Modern Warfare 3 players have voiced their dismay over in-game rewards they’ve received as an apology for all the recent server issues, with some labeling them as “pathetic.”

Pretty much every multiplayer game out there has had issues at some point or another, especially when it comes to servers, but Call of Duty’s fiercely vocal community will let you know when the slightest hiccup affects their games.

In recent weeks, cheaters have been on the rise, updates have broken the ability to steer Cruise Missiles, and they’ve also had a bug that prevents them from making any sort of progression with levels and their battle pass.

On top of all those headaches, there have been server issues too. Players have been randomly kicked from games – including Ranked lobbies – and they’ve also been unable to log in to play anything at all.

MW3 players blast devs over “pathetic” apology rewards

As a result of the recent server issues, the Call of Duty devs issued a set of apology rewards, including the extension of the ongoing double XP event and every player getting an hour of double XP for weapons, battle pass, and their own progression.

However, they’re not happy with those. “Yeah, no, this isn’t enough,” complained one player. “Yeah that’s REALLY gonna help. Pathetic,” another added. “This doesn’t make up for anything,” said another.

“1 hour is laughable seeing as the game was broken for around 12 hours. May as well not bother,” another player responded

Some players stated that they were glad to be getting anything as compensation for the issues, but those were in the minority compared to the complaints.

Plenty of others urged the devs to also address the ongoing issue with the Cruise Missile killstreak next, seeing as they’re still unable to direct it when launched. Though, who knows if that will be looked at soon.
