YouTuber Publishes Emotional Video Paying Tribute to the Career of CoD Player Karma

The past few days have seen a whirlwind of emotional changes for North American esports organization OpTic Gaming and their professional Call of Duty team.

In a highly publicized set of roster moves, the org’s vaunted roster was split apart after three years of championship-filled dominance.

One of the players that was on that roster was Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow, who originally joined OpTic in April of 2015.

Often considered to be the greatest of all time, Karma is the only player in CoD esport’s history to have won three World Championships.

While he has not always had the best of in-game statistics, his uncanny ability to make the right play at the right time is the main reason why his teams have nearly always been ranked at or around the top.

After what had been a disappointing WWII season for OpTic, Karma decided to step away from competitive CoD for the remainder of the season and focus on his streaming and content creation.

While there is no indication that this move will be permanent, fans have still reacted emotionally at the prospect of not seeing the iconic player compete in Call of Duty.

As part of these reactions, editor and content creator for Most Wanted eSports ‘Semtexable,’ has published an emotional video paying tribute to Karma and his illustrious career to this point.

The tribute is full of flashes of in-game brilliance, emotion, and humor as it replays some of Karma’s most iconic moments during his championship runs in 2013, 2014, and 2017.
