FIFA Chemistry Styles Calculator | In-Game FUT Stats Boosts Explained

David Cotton

FIFA Chemistry Styles are often overlooked by many FUT fans. Using these consumable items correctly can completely change the way you play, turning a good squad into a great one…

Although many FIFA players have a basic idea of what each FUT Chemistry Style does to a player’s overall card stats, a surprisingly large number don’t understand the exact changes these items make to individual in-game stats.

Knowing this information can be incredibly useful, as certain FIFA Chem Styles can actually eradicate, or significantly diminish weaknesses within a particular FUT card’s IG stats. We will give real examples of this and explain exactly how this works below.

How FIFA 19 Chemistry Styles Work in FUT

FUT Chem Styles have the power to completely change the way a FIFA Ultimate Team card feels and performs on the pitch. You can turn a CM (central midfielder) into a defensive beast, or give them the flair and panache of a distinguished playmaker.

With so many FIFA Chemistry Style cards available in FUT, your choices are certainly not limited either. Everyone plays with their own unique style in FIFA games, and FUT Chemistry Style cards only accentuate this. See the exact FUT stat increases of these cards explained below…

How Do Chemistry Styles Work in FIFA 19?

Please note – to get the most out of the following stat boosts, it is entirely dependant on your FUT Team Chemistry being 100, and individual Player Chemistry being 10 (the maximum for both). The lower either of these values are, the lower the attribute boosts provided by each Chemistry Style will be. The maximum individual stat rating a player can have is capped at 99.

As you can see from above, the most a FUT Chemistry Style card can increase an individual IG stat by is +15. Some of you may be under the impression that this is fairly marginal, but we can assure you that an increase of +15 on any individual attribute is very noticeable on the pitch.

If applied intelligently, a boost of even +10 can radically improve a player in a specific area. Let’s take Ivan Perišić of Inter Milan as an example. An extremely popular FUT card in FIFA 19, Perišić is incredibly well-rounded. However, some users have complained about his balance. Let’s take a closer look…

As you can see from the above image, with a Basic FIFA Chemistry Style applied, this particular FUT card does lack (comparatively) in the balance stat. 74 balance wouldn’t usually be a problem for a winger, but some top fullbacks will be shorter and have a higher balance stat than this, which is likely to make this even more prominent. Let’s take a look at what applying an Engine Chemistry Style does to his IG stats…

FIFA 19 Ivan Perisic 86 Engine Chemistry Style In-game FUT Stats Calculator

Engine is the ONLY Chemistry Style that increases a player’s balance stat by +10 (the next highest by any card is +5!). With this in mind, the Engine Chem Style seems very well suited to Ivan Perišić’s 86-rated regular FUT card. This is a great example of how a player’s in game stats can easily be manipulated by the use of FIFA 19 Chemistry Styles.

Let’s take a look at another example of how Chemistry Styles can be used across a whole FUT squad…

The owner of the above team has clearly opted for a more defensive, possession-based style. Part of this can be attributed to their choice of formation, but the selection of FIFA 19 Chem Styles make this even more obvious. The use of Shadows on fullbacks, Anchors on CB’s and Engines on wingers are all very usual, but the choice of the midfield/striker Chemistry Styles stand out.

They have opted for an Anchor on all three central midfield players – this will increase Pace, Defending and Physicality, helping to close down and intercept any mistakes by the opposition. The choice of a Deadeye on Firmino in the CF position will help to involve him in the buildup play, as well as providing him with a significant shooting boost to score the majority of this team’s goals.
