D&D Spelljammer: Adventures in Space is 45% off

D&D Spelljammer books and DM screen

Spelljammer: Adventures in Space sees the return of a classic D&D setting that fans had been clamoring for. Spelljammer is a famously creative, irreverent take on interplanetary travel. D&D’s swords and sorcery mesh with flying ships and crystal spheres in a surprisingly engaging way.

The Spelljammer: Adventures in Space set contains three separate manuals, in what is becoming the norm for new D&D 5e setting releases. The first manual is the Astral Adventurer’s guide, containing rules and worldbuilding info for including Spelljammer in your games.

The second book to be included is Light of Xaryxis, a breezy and entertaining set of adventures for Spelljammer. These can be the introduction to a wider cosmic world for an existing campaign, or form the entirety of a new campaign in their own right.

The final manual is Boo’s Astral Menagerie, named for famed hero Minsc’s miniature giant space hamster companion. Contained within the Menagerie are dozens of new monsters befitting Spelljammer’s setting, which can just as easily be slotted into any homebrew game or otherwise taken as inspiration. Astral elves, imperialist gunpowder-toting hippos, and playable amorphous ooze-folk are all possible in the weird worlds of Spelljammer.

While Spelljammer: Adventures in Space might not have been to every player’s taste when it was first released, it serves as a way to broaden DM’s and player’s horizons. D&D 5e is a flexible, adaptable system, and a wealth of stories and genres can be covered by this game outside of strictly heroic fantasy.
