A Palworld dev has responded to rumors that “death threats” have been sent to the team from ‘console war’ fans of Xbox and PlayStation.

Pocketpair’s latest survival game Palworld became an overnight success, breaking records and becoming one of the most-played games on Steam of all time. Along with this huge success, drama has also encircled the game.

After release, there have been several claims that Palworld artists were getting “death threats” from Xbox vs PlayStation console war fans, but a dev has cleared the air.

Palworld’s Community Manager, Bucky, said on January 23 that they “have received no death threats from anyone in regards to console support. No threats from any Xbox, PlayStation, or PC player about anything console or platform related.”

Bucky further clarified that “it’s not real” and nothing but just “a boring narrative”, urging everyone to “stop trying to perpetuate a console war”.

Earlier, Takuro Mizobe, a representative of Pocketpair, said they received multiple slanderous comments against Palworld artists with some posts that appear to be death threats. However, Takuro did not suggest that these threats were coming from Xbox or PlayStation fans specifically.
