Monster Hunter Now March 2024 event schedule: Anniversary quests & new monsters

The Monster Hunter Now March event schedule has been released by Niantic, bringing with it anniversary quests, new subspecies, Vernal Invader update, and more. So, here’s everything you need to know about the release dates and timings. 

Niantic has revealed details on the Monster Hunter Now March event schedule, with events tailored around commemorating the Monster Hunter 20th anniversary. Aside from the celebration quests, there will be new subspecies, increased monster spawns, and a limited-time hunter medal to claim.

Niantic has also outlined a number of changes that will be coming to the game. So, here’s everything you need to know about the Monster Hunter Now March event schedule.

Monster Hunter Now Celebration 2024 Part 1

Monster Hunter Now will be commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Monster Hunter series with exclusive event quests, guaranteed encounters with Zinogre in Hunt-a-thons, and increased spawns for the following monsters:

• Black Diablos
• Pink Rathian
• Azure Rathalos
• Barioth

Monster Hunter Now 20th anniversary quests

Monster Hunter Now 20th Anniversary Quests will enable players who have completed the prologue to earn rewards such as Zenny, materials, and an event-exclusive hunter medal.

Quest rewards include:

• Monster Hunter 20th Anniversary Medal
• Monster materials (Rathian Plate, Diablos Marrow, and more)
• Gatherable materials (Carpenterbugs, Dragonite Ore, and more)
• Zenny

Monster Hunter 20th Anniversary dates and times (local time)

From March 4, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. until March 24, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. you can expect guaranteed appearances of Zinogre at Hunt-a-thon Points during these times:

• Starts: March 4, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. (local time)
• Ends: March 13, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (UTC)

Subspecies monsters and Barioth rate up

The number of Black Diablos, Pink Rathian, Azure Rathalos, and Barioth will be increased. It’s important to note that Barioth will disappear from the field on March 14th at 9:00 a.m (local time). So, be sure to farm up its materials and complete any weapon/armor upgrades before this date.

The monster spawn rates can be found in the following locations:

• Desert: Black Diablos
• Swamp: Pink Rathian
• Forest: Azure Rathalos, Barioth

• Ends: March 13, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (UTC)

More monsters appearing more frequently all around

Monsters in all habitats will reappear after 1 hour and monsters will be appearing in more places on the field.

The Vernal Invader update

In this update, players can look forward to new monsters and weapons, as well as a few other surprises. What’s more, with the Monster Hunter Now Celebration 2024 Part 2 Niantic will be holding more events to commemorate the half-anniversary of Monster Hunter Now.

The Vernal Invader update will release March 14, 2024, at 0:00 (UTC). More details will be announced at a later date.

Dates and Times for the Monster Hunter Now Celebration 2024 Part 2

• From March 14, 2024, at 0:00 a.m. until March 24, 2024, at 2:59 p.m. (UTC)

New subspecies

A new subspecies will make its first appearance during this event. More details will be announced at a later date.

• From March 25, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. until April 7, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.

Additional information

From March 12, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (local time), the following changes will be implemented:

• Barioth will no longer appear in the Hunt-a-thons.

From March 14, 2024, at 0:00 a.m. (UTC), the following changes will be implemented:

• Barioth, Wulg, and Cortos will no longer appear in the field.
• The special quest “Fulminations in the Frost” will conclude. Please note that rewards must be claimed by the end date of the event.
• Black Diablos, Pink Rathian, and Azure Rathalos will appear on the field for hunters who have unlocked Diablos, Rathian, and Rathalos hunts.
• Barioth will appear on the field for hunters who have completed the urgent quest, Freezing Frost Fangs, from Fulminations in the Frost.
