Druddigon, debuted in Pokemon Go during the Dragonspiral Descent event back in 2021, which celebrated the Unova region, with Black & White Legendaries Reshiram and Zekrom appearing in 5-Star Raid Battles.
The Dragon-type Pokemon has remained in the game ever since, although the method for catching this fiery beast is quite tricky. So now that it’s returning to Raids, here’s how to add this Pokemon to your team and details about its Shiny availability.

There are many ways to obtain a Pokemon in Niantic’s game. However, some can be trickier than others as the methods to acquire them become more intricate or the spawn rates get lower.
Currently, the only way players can find Druddigon in Pokemon Go is as a Tier 3 Raid Boss, which means they must defeat this Dragon-type Pokemon in battle to get the chance to catch it.
Luckily, Druddigon will be back in 3-Star Raid battles thanks to the Ultra Space Wonders event, which will run from May 23, 2024, until May 28, 2024, giving players plenty of chances to add it to their collections.
Previously, players were able to get Druddigon as a reward for completing Field Research Tasks such as “Win 3 raids: Lunar New Year: Dragons Unleashed” or Special/Timed Research Tasks like “Noxious Swamp – 1st part: Win 2 raids using a team with all unique Pokemon species”.
Can Druddigon be Shiny in Pokemon Go?
The good news is that Shiny Druddigon is still available in Pokemon Go. The Shiny version has been available since Druddigon was introduced to the game, which was a very unusual occurrence at the time as Niantic rarely debuts a new Pokemon alongside its Shiny variation.
As always, the chances of finding a Shiny version will be incredibly low, so you’ll simply have to encounter as many Druddigon as you can in 3-Star Raid battles and hope for the best.
You’ll be able to recognize a Shiny Druddigon immediately, as its blue body and wings turn green and its burgundy head and spikes change to yellow.
