April from The Golden Bachelor is not afraid to admit that she got alone time with Gerry by any means necessary.

Starring Gerry Turner, the ABC dating series The Golden Bachelor centers around a group of older women vying for his love.

One of the hopeful singles in the competition was April Kirkwood, who was determined to get his attention and steal him away from the others. So, when they all had a group date playing pickleball, she faked an ankle injury.

In a recent interview, she reflected on the on-screen moment and still believes there’s no shame in her game.

Did The Golden Bachelor’s April fake an injury?

On October 20, April spoke with ET and not only doubled down on her fake injury but revealed that she got instant karma from it.

She said, “A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do… I mean, if you put me in drastic times, I’m gonna bring it. The truth is I did hurt my ankle when I got home, so now I go to the chiropractor and he yanks it back in.”

The reality TV star went on to say that she was not used to competing for love and seeing Gerry interact with the other women was very offputting.

April admitted, “I did pull back because I thought, ‘I don’t want to chase someone who doesn’t want me.’ It wasn’t comfortable for me. It wasn’t a behavior I was used to.”

Now that April has been eliminated, the pool of women Gerry has to decide from is getting smaller and smaller. Who will end up winning his heart? Only time will tell.
