YouTube star KSI has backtracked on claims that he would retire from boxing as he’s announced that he’ll fight again in 2024, but he’s being coy about who he may face.

KSI has been at the forefront of the influencer boxing revolution over the last few years, being involved in the first YouTuber boxing event and then also having the first professional bout when he faced Logan Paul.

The Brit went on a hiatus for a little over three years after that fight with Logan, but returned to the ring in 202 and quickly proved his skills again. He racked up five wins before trying to do what Jake Paul couldn’t and beat Tommy Fury.

That fight with Tommy, controversially, didn’t go his way and KSI has said himself that he was unlikely to fight again after that – especially as his dream super fight with Jake continues to look like that, a dream. However, he does have plans to fight in 2024.

KSI announces he’ll fight in 2024 despite retirement claims

Yes, KSI has backtracked on his earlier claims of retiring after losing to Tommy by announcing that he will fight in 2024 – but he’s not naming an opponent anytime soon.

“I will fight this year, but, I won’t say who,” the YouTube star told DAZN Boxing ahead of the Misfits X Series 012 event on January 20.

He was subsequently asked about his recent sparring session with IShowSpeed and if that would lead to anything, but KSI noted that was simply just a spar for charity. Though, he would be interested in seeing Speed fight in a Misfits event in the future.

While the YouTuber has been coy about who he’s fighting, there are two obvious fights on the table for him – a rematch with Fury and making that superfight with Jake happen.

Both fights would, of course, have plenty of excitement behind them but it’s too early to tell if either will happen.
