Breakdancing dad goes viral after responding to daughter’s callout online

When TikToker Maddie Hart made a video discussing how her dad allegedly abandoned her family to pursue a breakdancing career, she probably didn’t expect him to see it.
However, Ben Hart was notified about the video after it went viral, leading to him deciding to respond a few days later on Twitter.
Ben said that despite the hate he received from the video, he actually liked most of it, and enjoyed watching it. However, he did say that he wanted to address several of the claims and suggestions put forward in the original TikTok.
In his tweet, Ben said: “I wake up at 6 a.m. to find that my daughter has posted a TikTok video trashing me. She’s a big social media influencer with millions of followers.”

Despite the suggestion from Maddie’s video that Ben “abandoned my family”, Ben said that he frequently saw her and her sister, and that he paid out 5 million dollars in child support, alimony, and college funds.
He also said that he discovered his love for breakdancing long after his divorce from Maddie’s mom, and that it was not related to his departure in any way.
Ben’s breakdancing efforts peaked when he went on Good Morning America after making it to one of the final rounds of a national competition in 2019.
Ben also said that Maddie’s claim that “this man would not pay my medical bills” was untrue, due to his success in the advertising business. However, Ben clarified that he and Maddie get along well, and that he enjoyed most of the video. He also said that it was never too late to get into breakdancing.
