Couple adopts stray kitten who gate-crashed their wedding vows

A couple was stunned after a stray kitten loudly interrupted their wedding vows, going viral for then adopting the gate-crasher.

The cat distribution system is back at work, this time resulting in one newlywed couple receiving the perfect wedding gift in the form of a loudmouthed stray kitten.

Cara and Matt were sharing their vows to one another when bridesmaids and groomsmen noticed the kitten calling out from a tree stump behind the ceremony.

Posting the unexpected intrusion to TikTok, Cara revealed the couple decided to adopt the kitten — resulting in the newlyweds quickly going viral.

Using text overlay on the video, Cara explained she and Matt had “no clue” about the gate-crasher while in the midst of their vows.

Cara was even “kind of annoyed” by those in her wedding party laughing during the couple’s special moment, but this all changed after one of the bridesmaids pointed out the kitten.

“There she was sitting on a tree stump right behind us demanding to be heard,” Cara wrote. “We are huge cat people. Our names together are Catt. We even had cat cake toppers, so this was kind of crazy.”

Finally acknowledged by the couple, the kitten then quieted down for the rest of the ceremony. Weeks later, the venue informed the newlyweds that the kitten had been caught, resulting in her swift adoption by the pair.

Viewers seemingly agreed with Cara that the kitten — now named Daisy — was the cat distribution “working overtime” to bring the couple the best gift for their big day.

“She was a wedding gift from the cat distribution system,” one person wrote. Another said, “The cat distribution system approved of the union.”

With her memorable entrance into their lives, Cara and Matt have taken to sharing updates on Daisy’s life on their TikTok account, showing how the kitten has adapted to her new forever home.
