Reacher dethroned by huge TV show on streaming chart

The reign of Reacher has come to an end as its popularity on the streaming charts with Season 2 has been cut short due to another well-loved series.

Alan Ritchson returned to the Amazon Prime Video series as Jack Reacher. An ex-military investigator who lives life on his own terms as a lone wolf traveling the country. Reacher Season 2 saw the return of the character, but this time joined forces with his former 110th teammates.

Based on the Lee Child book, Reacher Season 2 had him and his team hunt down the person responsible for murdering their comrades. Fans were hooked on the punches, fights, blood, and drama of Season 2 that skyrocketed the series to success again.

But Reacher’s conquest is now over as a series that has been sweeping the charts takes control once again.

Reacher falls lower on the streaming list

Once again claiming its rightful title, Young Sheldon has dethroned Reacher Season 2 and takes the number one spot on the charts as the most streamed.

There’s no denying that Young Sheldon has become a beast on the streaming charts. It kicked out Suits’ long-running reign when it was released on Netflix. Since then, the series has been hard to beat as it’s gearing up to release its final seventh season. The Big Bang Theory spinoff tells the story of Sheldon Cooper’s childhood in Texas. How he navigates growing up with his genius mind, and his family dynamic.

Young Sheldon has been the talk of the town. According to Nielsen [via ComicBook.com], the series has retaken its number one spot. Pushing Reacher into second place with The Crown in third place, Leave The World Behind in fourth place, and Rebel Moon: Part 1 in fifth place.

But Reacher making the top five, and even holding the number one spot at one point is still impressive. Looking at the other content in the list, Reacher is the only non-Netflix series. The Crown, Leave The World Behind, and Rebel Moon are all currently streaming on Netflix. Not to mention Netflix will be the one releasing the final season of Young Sheldon.

While Reacher may have been dethroned by a MENSA-certified little genius who has likely never been in a real fight, it’s nothing to be ashamed of. Both Reacher and Young Sheldon will return and will battle once again.

Reacher Season 3 was announced to be in the works, with Ritchson already filming on set. The Lee Child book the season will be based on has also been revealed.
