New Key visual of Goblin Slayer Season 2

The anticipated Season 2 of Goblin Slayer has an official release date, and we’ve also just got a new key visual featuring Orcbolg in all his glory.

Goblin Slayer is a dark fantasy anime franchise that came with its first season five years back in 2018. The opening episode of the series was so traumatizing that it faced backlash from the community. And since then, it has become the most controversial fantasy anime series.

By the title Goblin Slayer, fans believed it to come with brutal deaths and a dark storyline, but what no one assumed was that the series would feature a lot of physical assault scenes.

Even though the first season of Goblin Slayer caused distress in the community, the series got renewed for a second season during the GA Bunko 15th Anniversary Event in 2021. At the same time, we also learned that the season was already in production.

Goblin Slayer Season 2 release date confirmed

Goblin Slayer Season 2 will be released on October 6, 2023, on Crunchyroll globally.

The new season received its release window one month back with a new trailer. However, fans now finally have an exact release date to look forward to.

The newly released trailer revealed how gruesome the upcoming season is going to be. The trailer begins with showing the terrible goblins, and to annihilate them comes the Goblin Slayer along with his allies. In this world, there are so many dangerous monsters that terrorize humans; however, Goblin Slayer, as suggested by the title, only cares about killing Goblins. And it’ll surely be interesting to see our beloved protagonist butchering the green monsters in new ways.

LIDEN FILMS has replaced the Season 1 director Takaharu Ozaki with Misato Takada, who directed three episodes of the 12-episode anime series Boarding School Juliet. However, Ozaki has been given the responsibilities of Chief Director of Goblin Slayer’s new season.

If you want to re-watch the first season before setting your eyes on the second one, you can rely on Crunchyroll. Besides that, the streaming platform also hosts the sequel film, Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown and you must watch it too ahead of Goblin Slayer Season 2’s premiere.
