Jujutsu Kaisen’s official account has posted a message to fans on Twitter/X with a request to stop leaking information before announcements are made.

With more people using social media these days, the leaks are gaining a lot of popularity. Viz releases the official Weekly Shonen Jump Issue every Sunday globally. However, due to some leakers, the raw scans start circulating a few days before the release date.

For popular series like Jujutsu Kaisen, the leaks attract hundreds of thousands of viewers. However, it’s not just the chapters; any major information regarding these popular series is posted before the official announcement.

As such, one of the official accounts of Jujutsu Kaisen has not only confirmed a new announcement, but also asked fans to avoid leaking info.

The message from the official account of Jujutsu Kaisen Exhibition

The request to stop leaking information before announcements comes from the official account of the Jujutsu Kaisen Exhibition.

The user name translates to Gege Akutami “Jujutsu Kaisen” Exhibition, and it was created to share information about the special Exhibition that will take place this year. It was announced during the Jump Festa and will be held at the Shibuya Hikarie shopping center in Tokyo in the summer of 2024.

The post from yesterday reads: “Further information about the exhibition will be announced in the 15th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, which will be released on March 11th (Monday).

“Please check it! In addition, we ask for your cooperation in preventing the spread of illegally uploaded ‘early release’ information before the release date.”

Apart from the exhibition announcement in December 2023, Gege Akutami also shared a special message to fans: “We put a lot of thought into how to go about it and decided to show all the remaining rough drafts, drafts, and all the assistant work that usually gets hidden behind the characters and speech bubbles.

“My goal is to make people who attend the exhibition think, ‘I can draw manga too!!’ We’re currently going through trial testing of the exhibition with groups of adults. Do your best, grown-ups!! Everyone, please look forward to it!!”

The original message is in Japanese, but one Twitter user, who is popular for sharing translations related to JJK, commented an English version in the official post. The 15th issue of WSJ will not only include an announcement regarding the Exhibition, but it will also have a special JJK cover and the 4th popularity poll to celebrate the manga’s sixth anniversary.
