Jujutsu Kaisen confirms new announcement for this month
Manga PlusThe official account of Jujutsu Kaisen has just confirmed a new announcement this month – so here’s everything you need to know about it.
One of the most popular dark Shonen anime series, Jujutsu Kaisen, is currently in production for its third season. The manga will have a special colored cover in the WSJ magazine. The manga is also holding a fourth popularity poll to celebrate the anniversary.
However, that’s not all. JJK will soon release Volume 26, which will include the battle of the strongest and the most controversial yet important chapter of the series. The series took the center stage in 2023 with both the anime and manga.
It seems that 2024 is going to be another exciting year for JJK fans. In addition to all the exciting updates, the official account on Twitter/X has confirmed a major announcement for this month.
What is the latest Jujutsu Kaisen announcement on Twitter/X?
The official page 芥見下々『呪術廻戦』展 (Gege Akutami “Jujutsu Kaisen” Exhibition) posted: “Further information about the exhibition will be announced in the 15th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, which will be released on March 11th (Monday).
“Please check it! In addition, we ask for your cooperation in preventing the spread of illegally uploaded “early release” information before the release date.”
The exhibition will be held at Shibuya Hikarie shopping center in Tokyo, in summer 2024. The 15th issue of WSJ will include a popularity poll and cover to celebrate the manga’s 6th anniversary. Additionally, WSJ will most likely announce the date of the exhibition in the upcoming issue as well, but nothing is certain as of yet.
Additionally, the official account also requests leakers to avoid sharing the information before it’s officially released. In December 2023, Gege Akutami shared a special message about the exhibition. Although the original message is in Japanese, one Twitter user shared a translation for fans.
The message reads: “We’re doing a Jujutsu Kaisen exhibition. This will probably be the last Jujutsu Kaisen Jump Festa stage while the manga is still in serialization. The Jujutsu Kaisen manga is a digital manuscript so strictly speaking, there is no actual genga to actually exhibit.
“We put a lot of thought into how to go about it and decided to show all the remaining rough drafts, drafts, and all the assistant work that usually gets hidden behind the characters and speech bubbles. My goal is to make people who attend the exhibition think, “I can draw manga too!!” We’re currently going through trial testing of the exhibition with groups of adults. Do your best, grown-ups!! Everyone, please look forward to it!!”
Gege’s message is from Jump Festa 2024, which was held in December last year. The franchise announced the upcoming exhibition, which is going to be held in the summer of 2024.
