My Hero Academia Season 7: Why did All Might bring in Star and Stripe?
CrunchyrollMy Hero Academia Season 6 ended with Star and Stripe coming to Japan at All Might’s request. But why did All Might bring in Star and Stripe?
My Hero Academia Season 7 has arrived. The premiere of the season carries on from the cliffhanger of a certain American hero. The arrival of Star and Stripe not only hints at an upcoming fight but also raises the question behind her involvement.
Star and Stripe is America’s No. 1 Pro Hero. Her real name is Cathleen Bates. As a child, she and her family were caught in the middle of a villain attack. They were saved by All Might who was still a student at that time. Awed by All Might, she vowed to become a hero just like him.
America’s No. 1 hero coming to aid Japan could change the tide of the upcoming war. But there’s a more immediate reason why All Might brought Star and Stripe into My Hero Academia.
Why did All Might bring in Star and Stripe in My Hero Academia?
All Might brought in Star and Stripe to stop the completion of the vessel process between All For One and Tomura Shigaraki. There are only three days left before the completion of the vessel process is finished, meaning All For One will have total control over Shigaraki’s body.
In Season 6, All Might encountered the Hero Killer Stain. The former villain gave All Might the information he found on the Tartarus break. The information turned out to be radio waves that looked like a conversation. From it, All Might and Tsukauchi successfully inferred that it would take three more days before All For One completely takes over Shigaraki’s body.
With danger so imminent, he requested other countries to spare their top Pro Heroes to deal with Shigaraki and All For One. While No. 1 Heroes of other countries couldn’t come straight away because of hesitation from their governments, America’s Star and Stripe didn’t wait for anyone’s approval and left on her own.
After facing Shigaraki and the League of Villains during the Paranormal Liberation Arc, it became clear that Japan was in no position to handle Shigaraki. All major Pro Heroes, including Hawks, Endeavor, Aizawa, and Best Jeanist are injured and unable to fight the baddie. Thus, All Might needed to ask for help from other countries.
As a huge fan of All Might, Star and Stripe is determined to take out the threat of Shigaraki and All For One. She’s one of the strongest Pro Heroes in the world and her Quirk, New Order is one of the most complex and overpowered Quirks in the series.
In My Hero Academia Season 7, Star and Stripe will come face to face with Tomura Shigaraki, leading to a grand battle that should be intense and visually amazing. It will also serve as a demonstration of just how strong Tomura has gotten and how he uses the multiple Quirks in his arsenal.
My Hero Academia is having one of the best years since its debut. The seventh season of the anime will be airing in Spring 2024 along with other releases like Demon Slayer Season 4, Kaiju No 8, and Black Butler: Public School Arc. There is also an anime movie, My Hero Academia: You’re Next, releasing this year.
