Luffy may be on a quest for the One Piece, but we’re on a quest to find a new wallpaper for our phones! Thankfully, a talented One Piece fan saved us an adventure by creating fantastic pre-time skip artwork.

One Piece‘s story has evolved over its 25-plus-year ongoing run. It’s so long that author Eiichiro Oda needed to keep upping the stakes and included a two-year time-skip for the Straw Hat crew to get stronger so they could stand a chance when they take on the second half of the Grand Line, the New World.

While the post-time skip era has brought One Piece to new heights, fans sometimes long for the more simple nature of the series before the two-year jump; the long plot of Arabasta getting the crew wrapped up in their first big adventure on the Grand Line, the stakes that came with Water 7, and the simple island hopping and facing the danger that comes with it.

One Piece fan creates amazing wallpapers before the time skip

On the One Piece subreddit, u/SirensbyZel has created an amazing collection of phone wallpapers based on scenes from the pre-timeskip era of the series.

From Luffy recruiting Chopper to the Straw Hat crew to Zoro’s epic stand against Bartholomew Kuma in Thriller Bark, this fan has encapsulated some of the greatest moments in the pre-time skip era of One Piece. What we especially love here is the inclusion of scenes from the openings that are often inspired by the chapter cover pages, which sometimes contain an ongoing story told over many chapters, one cover at a time.

This fan clearly has a thing for Nico Robin, the archaeologist of the Straw Hat crew, as she makes an appearance more prominently than other characters in the wallpapers. Whether it’s the Going Merry calming resting on the sea at night or Whitebeard attacking Marineford during the Summit War, this One Piece fan has got you covered for your next phone wallpaper.
