Solo Leveling confirms English dub release date

The most popular anime of Winter 2024, Solo Leveling, has confirmed the release date for the English dub.

Solo Leveling made its grand anime debut this month and has established itself as the most popular Winter 2024 anime. Directed by Shunsuke Nakashige, the anime is based on the popular manhwa by Chugong (Story) and Jang Sung-rak (Art).

The story is set in a world 10 years ago after the appearance of a “gate” that connects the world to a realm of magic and monsters. The gates drastically changed the world in every way. Modern weaponization doesn’t work on these monsters, but some humans are granted supernatural powers and are called “hunters.”

The story follows Sung Jin-Woo, who hunts monsters tirelessly in low-rank Gates to pay for his mother’s medical bills and his sister’s education. However, things take a turn for the worse when his team encounters a double dungeon. According to Crunchyroll, Solo Leveling English dub will premiere on January 20, 2024.

 It is a weekly anime that drops every Saturday. Tokyo MX and other Japanese networks broadcast the episodes at 12 am JST. Crunchyroll will stream new episodes at 9:30am PT.

As per Crunchyroll, the official synopsis of Solo Leveling reads: “They say whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, but that’s not the case for the world’s weakest hunter, Sung Jinwoo. After being brutally slaughtered by monsters in a high-ranking dungeon, Jinwoo came back with the System, a program only he could see, that’s leveling him up in every way. Now, he’s inspired to discover the secrets behind his powers and the dungeon that spawned them.”
