The Eminence in Shadow, the popular isekai and fantasy anime series, is returning with its second season this fall – delve deeper to check out the release date and everything else we know about Season 2.

Fall 2023 is just around the corner, and a new season comes with a new lineup of anime series. Season 1 made its surprising debut in Oct 2022 and aired till Feb 2023. The Eminence in Shadow was a massive success, and it’s returning with Season 2 next month.

Considering the series’ popularity, it’s no surprise that it was soon renewed for a new season. The series has been in the Fall 2023 lineup for a while now, but there has been no official release date until now.

However, the official Twitter account recently shared a key visual and official release date for The Eminence in Shadow Season 2. Delve deeper to find out more about the upcoming anime series.

The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 release date and time

The second season will only have 12 episodes this time, unlike the first season, which had 20. Based on the light novel of the same name, the story centers around Cid Kagenou. The first episode of Season 2 already premiered during the Anime Expo in July 2023. It will officially start airing on October 4, 2023.

Where to watch The Eminence in Shadow?

When the anime returns this Fall, HIDIVE will be the official streaming home for the new episodes. There will be both English subbed and dubbed versions. HIDIVE also shared the official synopsis of The Eminence in Shadow Season 2: “Everything has been going according to plan, but the hour of awakening draws near. Cid Kagenou and Shadow Garden investigate the Lawless City, a cesspool where the red moon hangs low in the sky, and three powerful monarchs rule the streets.

“The true draw for Cid, however, is one who can draw blood–the Blood Queen, a vampire who has slumbered in her coffin for eons. Her awakening approaches, and Cid could finally face a day of reckoning.”
