Apex Legend season two may only be a few days old, yet players are already uncovering genius ways to use Wattson’s electric trap.

The highly-anticipated season two of Apex Legends was finally released by Respawn Entertainment on July 2 – adding a ton of new content to the game, as well as a brand new legend.

After months of speculation, Wattson finally joined the Kings Canyon cast as the newest legend. The electrical genius has already left many a player frustrated with her electric traps but one player may have just found the best use for them moving forward.

Wattson can harness electric power to wreak havoc on Apex Legends players.

In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user GamingBasicTV, pointed out that these electric fences can be erected behind closed doors to spring a trap on unsuspecting players. While that may not be new information for every player, it’s clearly a helpful tip for anyone who has yet to dive into the world of season two.

The Redditor also noted they had already been experimenting with maximizing the traps potential, showing that players can create a criss-cross like field that will trap enemy players who try to burst through.

As the traps don’t give off any sort of signal that they’re there, it’s an almost perfect way to catch unaware players in your grasp.

It immediately took the fancy of many Apex players on the subreddit – with the post receiving a few compliments. “Wow cool. I’m used to seeing people never use them or put them in an open field,” commented one user.

Of course, not everybody was sold on the tactic and pointed out that it may need a few tweaks. One such comment from JesterOfGames stated: “I mean that is smart but impractical.”

It remains to be seen just how many players pick up on GamingBasicTV’s tactic, and just how many will adapt it to make it their own.

With season two barely in its infancy, there are sure to be more tips and tricks related to the new legend before Respawn makes any sort of sweeping changes.
