How to literally fly in Apex Legends with Crypto and Pathfinder trick

Since Crypto was added to Apex Legends in Season 3, players have been discovering new and ingenious ways to use his trusty drone, but this latest trick is by far the best yet.

The drone is Crypto’s tactical ability, allowing him to survey the surrounding area, tag enemies, and when the ultimate is charged up, send out an EMP blast.

However, this drone can do a lot more than just its intended use, as players have used it to create a flying dome shield, or a personal UAV, by placing it in inventive locations.

Crypto’s drone is turning out to be one of the most useful items in all of Apex Legends.

Now though, streamer NiceWigg has devised an even better trick, by combining Crypto’s drone with Pathfinder’s grappling hook, players can literally fly around the map.

It appears surprisingly simple: Just have your Crypto teammate launch their drone, then line-up the grapple with it and propel yourself into the air.

Crypto can then maneuver the drone high into the sky with Pathfinder attached, sending him in a Superman-like journey through the sky.

Taking the trick to the next level, NiceWigg and his teammate, taxi2g, started up high, to see just how much altitude they could reach.

Once the drone appears to hit max height, the streamer simply disconnects and falls further than any player has likely fallen in Apex Legends before.

It’s unknown if this trick was intentionally made possible by the developers, or if it’s a cheeky exploit — some players could argue that it gives an advantage.

But, for the sake of good fun, hopefully it isn’t removed in a future update, and we can all send each other flying around World’s Edge.
