How to respawn your teammates in Apex Legends
For the most part, Apex Legends is a typical battle royale game, but the ability to respawn your teammates sets it apart from the rest of the titles in its genre.
Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale game created by Respawn Entertainment, best known for the popular Titanfall series.
The game is available right now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, and is designed to be played as part of a squad, as the only way to take part in Apex Legends is to be part of a three man team.
While being a part of a team means you can have people watching your
back, it can create issues if one of your comrades is eliminated,
meaning you can be left at a numerical disadvantage against an enemy
squad. This doesn’t always have to be the case in Apex Legends though,
as players can respawn their fallen teammates.
When a member of your squad has been fully eliminated, they will drop a box that contains all their loot, and also a banner which can be picked up by their teammates. Once you have that, you need to find a Respawn Beacon, which are littered around the map and can be identified by a green dot on your minimap.
The eliminated teammate can also easily ‘ping’ the nearest Respawn Beacon, so it’s incredibly easy to see where you need to go in a hurry.
Once you make it to a Respawn Beacon, you will be able to bring your teammate back to life, although they will spawn with no gear or weapons, so it may be wise to think ahead of time and bring some gear for them with you.
Another useful tip that you may not have picked up, is that once the banner has been picked up, either of the two surviving teammates can drop it off at the Beacon – not just the player who physically picked it up.
Of course, players who have been knocked by opponents are still able to be revived where they are if you can make it to them before they bleed out, but having another way to bring your team back to full strength can be extremely helpful if you’re aiming to secure a victory.
Players can also revive themselves in certain scenarios. If a player gets knocked while holding a legendary Knockdown shield. This can be used to revive yourself without needing the assistance of a teammate, which can be incredibly useful if you have been seperated from your squad or if they are unable to make it to you to pick you up.
