The devs behind Baldur’s Gate 3 shared a cryptic meme related to the release of Patch 6, and the community doesn’t know what it means.

The fans of Baldur’s Gate 3 have been anxiously awaiting the release of the game’s next big update, Patch 6.

The update is set to bring a big batch of new content, including some additions to romancing, which led many to believe the patch would release on Valentine’s Day.

However, the Baldur’s Gate 3 community isn’t sure about that anymore after a cryptic meme by the devs themselves.

Baldur’s Gate 3 players don’t understand dev’s meme

The meme was originally posted on X, where a fan asked if they would drop the update today. The devs responded with an image of the character Withers, and the simple caption of, “No.”

This was then shared to the Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddit, where the players are quickly trying to understand what it means.

“Did they ever actually commit to a specific date for the patch, or did they just say it would be this week and people assume that the kissing stuff meant they’d release on Valentine’s Day?”

The response to the possibility of the update not releasing today is rather split, with some players okay with it while others view it as a marketing mistake.

“They should drop the patch when it’s ready. But it was a blunder on their part to suggest it’d be a Valentine’s Day patch and then not drop it on Valentine’s Day. Some people are pausing their playthrough to wait for the update.”

Many others point to how the devs have been hinting at Valentine’s Day through the patch’s marketing, and claim that missing that date would be a disappointment.

However, others think they are just being facetious and joking around with the person asking the question.

“Could just be a joke, like the Pingu, ‘Well now I am not doing it’ reply when someone called it would be Valentine’s Day focused,” one fan said.

This could very likely be it as well, or the update will be coming a different day. Regardless, the Baldur’s Gate 3 community is sure to be eating up any hint the devs may give.
