Baldur's Gate 3 glitch creates "terrifying" Gale and Halsin hybrid

Baldur’s Gate 3 fans disappointed by the inability to date Gale and Halsin simultaneously can finally experience the best of both worlds with a glitch that fuses the Wizard and the Druid into one package.

While Baldur’s Gate 3 is known for its wild romance scenes, it only has a few options for pursuing multiple characters at once. Halsin is down for whatever, but you can’t romance him at the same time as Gale, as the Wizard of Waterdeep wants you all to himself.

Those who want Gale’s brain in Halsin’s rockin’ bod can do so via a glitch discovered by a user on the BG3 Reddit. This happened after Halsin was rescued from the cage but before the leaders of the Goblin Camp were defeated, making it seem as if Gale had fused with the Druid after their first meeting.

“Galsin isn’t real. He can’t hurt you,” one user wrote, while another said, “It’s not a bug, they just hooked up in the dark and accidentally put each others clothes on.”

“This is so cursed, but I’m morbidly fascinated by how this turns out (does Gale replace Halsin??)” one user asked, to which the OP replied, “No, there is also normal Halsin as well haha,” confirming that the player now has two Halsins to play with.

It seems this is a recurring issue, possibly tied to Halsin being added late in development, as the Act 2 characters are known for causing problems with the game. “This happened to me too, except instead of Gale, it was my Tav,” another user said, “So bizarre.”

Baldur’s Gate 3 is notorious for its bugs, though fans have been understanding, considering the massive scope of the game. Halsin accidentally robbing Gale’s clothes and personality is at least a funny error, especially as it makes the mighty Druid act like that shark that steals Woody’s hat in the original Toy Story.
