When it was first introduced in MW3’s opening season, the TAQ Eradicator didn’t exactly take over the multiplayer meta. It saw significant use in Warzone but was largely overlooked in MW3.

This may have been a mistake though as this LMG has since proven itself to be among the best in its category. It is surprisingly versatile and can be built to suit a wide range of playstyles, largely thanks to its exceptionally fast fire rate.

With it being an LMG, the TAQ Eradicator handles fairly slowly, a bad match for the fast-paced gameplay of MW3. To fix this you’ll need to use the 45 Round Mag which improves almost every Handling and Mobility stat while still offering a larger magazine than most other weapons. This effectively turns the TAQ Eradicator into an LMG-AR hybrid with great damage range and reasonably fast Handling.

The TAQ Eradicator has an incredibly unique recoil pattern as it has almost zero recoil for __ shots before it kicks hard vertically. While the initial recoil is accurate enough to not need improving at all, later shots can prove troublesome without an attachment like the Tacverte Core Stock which reduces gun kick by 23%.

Another two attachments worth using are the Conquer-70 Long Barrel and Shadowstrike Suppressor muzzle. The muzzle suppresses gunfire without giving any penalties while the barrel provides a sizable boost to Damage Range and Aiming Idle Stability. This makes it easier to take out enemies at long range and make the most of the TAQ Eradicator’s strengths.

Finally, since the TAQ Eradicator excels at long range using one of MW3’s meta optics helps a lot. There are several good options bu the JAK Glassless Optic is currently the best overall choice in MW3 Season 3.

Starting with the Vest, the Assassin Vest is a great choice for this TAQ Eradicator loadout as it compliments the Shadowstrike Suppressor well acting as a passive version of Ghost T/V Camo. It’s actually better than Ghost since this vest also keeps you hidden from enemy UAVs while standing still and not just when moving.

Continuing the theme of stealth, the Covert Sneakers silence your footsteps letting you play more aggressively without being punished. This is useful for taking advantage of the TAQ Eradicator’s above-average handling for an LMG in MW3. Similarly, the Hijacked IFF Strobe prevents enemy streaks from targeting you letting you move around the map more freely.

The gloves slot is flexible with none of them standing out on this loadout. Even so, the Commando Gloves make sense as they let you reload while sprinting. This is great on the TAQ Eradicator as it doesn’t have the fastest reload by any means, taking over 3 seconds to reload from empty even with the 45 Round Mag equipped.

For equipment, a Semtex is never a bad option in the lethal slot as it can be thrown quickly to pressure and take out opponents. Finally, a well-placed Stun Grenade will leave enemies immobilized giving you the chance to swoop in for a free kill.

How to unlock TAQ Eradicator in Modern Warfare 3

The TAQ Eradicator is unlocked through the Armory by activating it and then either completing 3 Daily Challenges or winning 3 matches. If you aren’t a fan of the Armory, the TAQ Eradicator can also be unlocked in MW3 via Zombies by successfully extracting with the LMG.

Best alternative to TAQ Eradicator in Modern Warfare 3

Unsurprisingly, the TAQ Evolvere shares a lot in common with the TAQ Eradicator with both being LMGs from the same family of weapons. The Evolvere is a more mobile version of the Eradicator with a lower fire rate but is extremely capable at long range, especially if you land headshots.
