Call of Duty: All CWL 2K recaps and results for December 16-17 – NA, EU, APAC
With teams now settling back into their groove after CWL Vegas concluded on December 9, the final CWL 2K tournaments of 2018 have concluded in each of the three major regions around the world.
The CWL 2K tournaments in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific are now in the books and while things largely played out as expected, there were a few bumps along the way.
On the North American side of things, most of the region’s top teams were competing in the CMG ProDown, which left things wide open for some of the lesser known North American teams.
FaZe Clan.Black were looking to take the final 2K of 2018 with many of the big names out of the picture, but fell just short.Coming into the 2K, Excelerate Gaming and FaZe Clan.Black were two of the top contenders, meaning it was no surprise to see the teams square off in the Grand Finals of the tournament.
In the end, it was Excelerate who managed to come out on top after a 3-0 series to claim the final NA 2K of the year. The top 16 placements are listed below:

Over in Europe, Team Sween continued to show that they’re one of the hottest orgless teams in Call of Duty following their top 6 placing at CWL Vegas.
Dropping just two maps in the entire top 32, Team Sween left no doubt as to who was the better team during this tournament. Heretics KFC came in second, somewhat bouncing back from a 1-3 showing during the Pool play stage of CWL Vegas. The top 16 final placements can be found below:

Finally we have the APAC region where one of the bigger surprises of the weekend took place, as the orgless oopsie claimed the title.
Despite Tainted Minds having won two of the first four 2K events and finished second in the other two, they failed to even make the Grand Finals this time around. One notable absence from this week’s tournament was Mindfreak, winners of the other two 2K tournaments that Tainted minds didn’t win.
