Censor issues final warning for Call of Duty stream snipers

Ex-Call of Duty pro Doug ‘Censor‘ Martin has had enough of Blackout stream snipers, and issued a final warning in a stark Twitter rant on August 13.

Blackout is Call of Duty’s first entry into the battle royale genre, and made waves when it was first introduced as a mode in 2018’s Black Ops 4, especially with Twitch users.

CoD pro Censor has been an avid fan of the game since launch, but like many other streamers, faces the issue of being ‘stream sniped’ every time he broadcasts on the platform. Enough was enough on August 13, when he issued a final warning to those finding fun in ruining his matches.

Censor used to play CoD professionally.

Censor is fed up with being stream-sniped

The ex-pro first complained with a tweet on August 13, saying that he was going to get anyone with the TTV (Twitch.tv) tag in his lobby banned if he finds out they’re stream sniping him.

“If I see any person in a blackout lobby that kills me with TTV in their clan tag I’m stopping what I’m doing and going to your stream and if I get stream sniped I’m getting you banned immediately.” he said.

Later on the same day, Censor detailed how he is completely and utterly fed up with having his Blackout gameplay sabotaged in an almost minute long Twitter video.

“So, these stream snipers, man. Let me talk about this…” he began. “Just because you have ‘Team TTV’ in your tag and you’re streaming, it doesn’t mean that you’re stream sniping me or any other Blackout streamer.”

Censor then went on to threaten snipers with bans: “All I’m trying to say is that at least 50% of my deaths on a daily basis are people with TTV in their clan tag, and I’m just gonna start watching their streams. And if I know that they’re stream sniping and I can see it on their VOD, I will just talk to Twitch and get you banned because you can’t do that. It’s not something that you’re allowed to do.”

Censor says he will get people banned if they stream snipe him.

The CoD player continued by saying that snipers are just ruining his content for his viewers: “50% of the deaths I get on an eight hour basis of streaming Blackout are from people who are just trying to ruin the product I’m putting out to people.”

“This doesn’t have anything to do with money, or success, or ego, or following, I really just don’t care about any of that stuff. I care about putting out a quality livestream on a day-to-day basis and playing this game for eight hours a day and having people trying to ruin my stream.”

“I’m sure any other Blackout streamer, Fortnite streamer in general, deals with this all the time, but I’m just speaking out about it. I’m just tired of it, dude. It’s really frustrating having to deal with this shit.”

Censor boasts over 2.6 million subscribers on YouTube and almost 120,000 followers on Twitch as of August 14.
