Classic Grau returns to Warzone & MW3 with unique SMG loadout attachment
ActivisionThe Grau was once the ultimate meta weapon in Warzone, way back in the earliest days of Verdansk, and now players have spotted one attachment that could bring back the Grau’s perfect iron sights.
Way before the Pulemyot, before the RPK, before the DMR, before almost any other Warzone meta, the Grau reigned supreme across Verdansk.
Its clean iron sights, impressive damage profile, and minimal recoil made it an absolute beast in the battle royale mode, though it was eventually nerfed and usurped by other guns.
Nonetheless, Warzone OGs still love reminiscing about the gun in its heyday, and they may be able to somewhat relive those moments with this SMG attachment that makes the new HRM-9 look just like the Grau in its prime.
Grau iron sight attachment in MW3?
While a Grau-like SMG doesn’t exactly sound ideal, building out the HRM-9 for longer-range gunfights and using a very specific barrel could bring back some memories of the old Warzone.
Introduced in Season 1 Reloaded, the HRM-9 has a barrel called the Princeps Long Barrel which gives an iron sight identical to the Grau of old. To really get it feeling like the Grau with minimal recoil, you’ll want to use the following attachments:
- Muzzle: JAK BFB
- Barrel: Princeps Long Barrel
- Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip
- Magazine: 50 Round Drum
- Stock: Folding Stock
Obviously, you’ll want to play around with the gun and its attachments to see if there’s anything that works better for you, but if you’re a fan of the original Grau iron sights in particular, the Princeps Long Barrel is the key attachment to utilize here.
This is, though, far from the standard SMG build, but could make for a perfect sniper support in Warzone. If you’re looking for the best meta loadouts in Warzone and need an SMG to keep you afloat, there’s no denying that the WSP Swarm is the best option to keep you competitive.
