Dr DisRespect explains what type of maps he wants to see added to Blackout

An avid fan of Call of Duty’s new Blackout battle royale mode, Twitch streamer Dr DisRespect has revealed what types of maps he wants to see added to the game down the line.

The Doc, who played the beta version of Blackout for the entire week it was available, is a huge fan of the current map in Blackout, but would not be surprised if Treyarch were in the process of developing more.

“I wouldn’t be surprised, I feel like they’re already working on another map,” he said. “How sick would that be; they’re first map is the perfect sized map. They’ve created a template for a battle royale map – perfect size, perfect pacing.

With Call of Duty maps traditionally coming in one of three sizes – small, medium/symmetrical, and large – the Doc believes that Treyarch has a unique opportunity to go places with the Blackout map that no other battle royale has in the past.

“I feel like they’ve just put out a middle-size battle royale map. And they might have a smaller one in the works, maybe two small ones, maybe another medium, maybe a larger one,” he explained. “I kind of like that idea man! Don’t follow the same template as Battlegrounds [PUBG].”

If there is someone who is qualified to talk about map design, its the Doc. Not only is he one of the prominent figures of the battle royale community, he was also a map designer for Sledgehammer Games and worked on their Advanced Warfare title, which was released several years ago.
