Fan-favorite Warzone AR has “insane” TTK after buff but there’s a catch
ActivisionWarzone expert Metaphor has highlighted a fan-favorite assault rifle that has an “insane” TTK after a recent buff, but that comes with a bit of a catch.
After a few big updates, the Warzone meta has shifted into its most diverse state for quite some time. While weapons like the SVA 545 and Striker 9 are proving to be popular picks, they aren’t the only way to score a win in Urzikstan.
Pretty much every gun is competitive at the moment, but there are some stronger options than others. That is especially true after the February 13 update, which saw the TAQ Evolvere and MCW both receiving some buffs.
The MCW, which has been popular ever since Modern Warfare 3 was released given the resemblance to the ACR, is especially powerful after the update – and that’s thanks to the JAK Raven Kit Conversion Kit.

The conversion kit buffs the AR’s close-to-medium ranged stats as it increases its handling and mobility, much to the delight of Warzone guru Metaphor, as he believes the devs went “overboard” with the buff.
“This thing is actually crazy. This thing was already good. I don’t know if the buffs to the MCW really changed much but this thing feels insane with my tac-stance setup,” the YouTuber said, noting that it’s not as quick as the BP50, but is right up there.
“The downs you get with this thing are unreal. You kill people so fast, especially if you get a headshot in there, it is so dang good.”
- Barrel: Orchestra-40 Short Barrel
- Underbarrel: FTAC MSP-98 Handstop
- Laser: Verdent Hook Box Laser
- Magazine: 40-Round Mag
- Conversion Kit: JAK Raven Kit
Outside of the 40-round mag, there aren’t many knocks on the MCW, but the JAK Raven Kit is a crutch attachment because of how it changes the AR.
If, as Metaphor suspects, the devs have gone too “overboard” with the buffs then the AR might get some tuning before long. But, for now, it’s insanely fun.
