The Soulrender is a unique melee weapon new to MW3 and Warzone that can both slice and dice enemies while also possessing a devastating heavy attack. Here is how to unlock this unique blade for use.

Season 2 Reloaded added the Soulrender, a sword that brings something new to the table. Modern Warfare 3 is no stranger to unique melee weapons but the Soulrender’s attack variety helps it stand out.

Even better, the Soulrender directly counters the infamous Riot Shield with its heavy attack bypassing the shield entirely. You can finally get revenge on those pesky shield users for ruining your day.

To do this though you’ll first need to unlock the Soulrender, so we’ve put together this guide to help you out.

How to get Soulrender in MW3 & Warzone

Previously, unlocking the Soulrender was easy enough with the new melee weapon requiring you to complete Sector B21 of the Season 2 Battle Pass. The process required players to complete four challenges in the said sector, with the Soulrender being the final reward, alongside Double XP tokens and the JAK Burnout Kit.

However, now that Season 2 is over and the season’s Battle Pass is gone, it’s much easier to unlock the Soulrender post-Season 2 Reloaded. All you need to do is activate the Armory Unlock challenge for the Soulrender, which requires you to complete 5 Daily Challenges

With MW3’s shared ecosystem, Daily Challenges can be completed across multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. Simply complete five, and the melee weapon is yours. There’s also the other option of extracting it in Zombies mode, and it’ll instantly unlock the weapon.

Sledgehammer describes the melee weapon as being a “vicious blade capable of rapid slicing for quick takedowns,” and having a heavy slash alternate attack that can, “down your foe with a devastating hit,” making it a surprisingly versatile melee weapon.

The Soulrender was not the only new weapon introduced in Season 2 Reloaded with the SOA Subverter battle rifle also being released, offering a powerful long-range option with a great TTK.
